Grantees’ Day

Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 9am-5pm
in the AVA Summit Hotel.

How does it work?

Step 1

To participate in Grantees’ Day, you must have already:

  • Registered for the AVA Summit, whether as an attendee, exhibitor, sponsor, or speaker.

  • Registered by the deadline of March 20th, 2024

  • All registered participants by the deadline of March 20, 2024, qualify for the next steps.

Step 2

So long as the steps in Step 1 are satisfied, the AVA Summit team will…

  • Get in contact with the highest-ranking person on behalf of your organization, e.g., the ED or development director.

  • We will email a form on March 21st, 2024, by 5 p.m. ET, asking for information about your organization, such as budget, working location demographics, size, program(s), etc.

  • This form must be completed by April 1, 2024. This is a hard deadline, and no considerations will be given after April 1, 2024.

Step 3

  • All funders participating in Grantees’ Day will receive the full list of participating organizations, and they will prioritize which groups they’d like to meet with.

    **Please note that the AVA Summit Team is exclusively serving as facilitators and not part of, or responsible for, any funder's decision making.

Step 4

The AVA Summit team begins to organize joint meetings between funders and organizations.

  • Organizations will receive an answer about who wants to meet with them by April 20, 2024

  • We will then organize joint meetings for each organization to meet with all the funders who want to learn more about their work

  • The meeting time slots will be 30 minutes (10 minutes org presentation, 10 minutes questions, 10 minutes break)

  • There will be one organization meeting with one or several funders in each room

Step 5

To best plan for success, please prepare and know:

  • a 10 min (max!) pitch and a printed two-pager ready

  • The funders are most interested in finding groups who have not received their funding and/or have never gotten a chance to pitch their projects.

  • If you are a current grantee of one or more than one of the Farmed Animal Funders then please schedule your meeting outside of this day. The purpose is to give an opportunity to groups that are not funded, and/or operating in areas that don't have as much access to the Farmed Animal Funders.

Grantees’ Day takes place on Thursday, May 16th, from 9am-5pm ET inside the AVA Summit hotel. We strongly suggest arriving on Wednesday, May 15th!

Light snacks & refreshments will be provided. Check out the hotel outlets and our Plant-Based for the Planet Initiative restaurant partners to plan a networking meal!
