Are Yellow Fever and Malaria vaccinations required to attend the AVA Africa Summit in Nairobi?
Yes, a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required for travelers entering Kenya if they are coming from a country with a risk of Yellow Fever transmission. If you are traveling directly from outside Africa or from regions not considered at risk, the vaccination is not required. However, if you transit through a high-risk country for more than 12 hours, you may be asked to present proof of vaccination upon arrival.
Malaria is not a significant concern in Nairobi. However, if you plan to travel to other regions of Kenya outside Nairobi, you may need malaria prophylaxis. We recommend consulting your healthcare provider for advice based on your travel itinerary.
Where can I find more information or get support regarding the vaccination requirements?
